Ultra Instinct Shaggy is a fan edit that splices the Scooby-Doo character Shaggy Rogers into Goku's divine transformation from Dragon Ball Super, treating the lanky stoner as a hidden god of destruction. The joke started with a single 2017 YouTube remix and snowballed into a petition to add Shaggy to Mortal Kombat 11, eventually earning an official nod from Warner Bros. in a 2021 animated film.
Origin
The format started on October 12th, 2017, when YouTuber Midya posted an 'Ultra Instinct Remix' pairing a brawl scene from the 2011 animated film Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur with Dragon Ball Super's 'Ultimate Battle' theme[3]. Midya's original upload was later taken down, but a reupload by YouTuber RoastedCurry preserved the edit in January 2019[1].
Warner Bros. animated Shaggy and the Dragon Ball Super soundtrack belong to Toei Animation; Midya created the fan remix that fused the two[3]. Early fan art followed on November 3rd, 2017, from DeviantArt user MielSibel10032002[3].

Overview
Ultra Instinct Shaggy takes the normally cowardly Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo and reframes him as a secretly all-powerful fighter in the style of Goku's Ultra Instinct form from Dragon Ball Super[3]. The gag works by pairing Shaggy's silly voice and skinny frame with the operatic Dragon Ball score 'Ultimate Battle,' usually while he no-sells attacks from random cartoon thugs[1].
The bit expanded into a shared joke that fans call 'Shaggy's Power,' a running premise that Shaggy is holding back at 1% strength and could flatten Thanos, Goku, or anyone else if provoked[2]. Fan art, Photoshop edits dropping Shaggy into Dragon Ball scenes, and in-game mods for titles like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 are the common formats, with Urban Dictionary summing him up as 'just Shaggy, but he is a god'[2].
