In late September 2026, an X account called @EsoShaggy posted unverified claims that conservative commentator Candace Owens had maintained lesbian dating profiles under usernames like Candamo429 and Cdot429. The thread racked up tens of millions of views within a day and spawned a wave of jokes, parody clips and crude riffs branding Owens a closeted gay cheater.
Origin
The rumor took off on September 28th, 2026, when X user @EsoShaggy posted an initial claim alleging that four lesbian dating profiles traced back to Candace Owens and that she had cheated on George Farmer with women[3]. The post pulled in over 16.9 million views and roughly 25,790 likes in about a day[1].
Later the same day, @EsoShaggy followed up with a longer thread that walked through what the account framed as detailed evidence, including profile URIs and a 2022 login timestamp[2]. That follow-up gathered more than 15.7 million views and around 27,230 likes in a similar window[1], and it became the version most reply-guys and dunk accounts cited while the story moved across X.

Overview
Candace Owens Lesbian Conspiracy Theory, also known as Candace Owens Is Lesbian Rumors, refers to a cluster of unverified X posts from late September 2026 claiming that the conservative commentator kept old dating profiles on sites aimed at women seeking women, including Fling and AdultFriendFinder-era accounts[1]. The posts tied purported leaked data to usernames like Candamo429 and Cdot429, email addresses, a Stamford, Connecticut and Kingston, Rhode Island location, and an April 29th birthday reference[2].
The thread format mixed data-leak screenshots with reaction-style commentary, which gave users a template to pile on with jokes about Owens secretly being gay and cheating on her husband, Christian Heritage boss George Farmer[1]. Owens denied the material, calling the accusations some of the "most deranged" ever made about her[1]. Major outlets did not authenticate the files, so the rumor stayed in meme territory rather than news coverage.
How It Spread
Within hours of @EsoShaggy's second thread, the claim stopped being about the alleged profiles and turned into a running joke format on X[1]. The parody account @ReadWithCandace posted a clip framed as Owens trying to hold back a smile while discussing lesbian adult films, pulling about 396,200 views and 11,000 likes in under a day[4].
Self-described lesbian poster @JaimeeUSA followed with a video declaring Owens "VERY GAY" and dragging George Farmer into the bit, which crossed 1 million views and 8,460 likes in the same window[5]. User @prettycritical joked that Owens was Charlie Kirk's "lesbro," racking up over 203,950 views and 22,810 likes[6].
The format kept rolling on September 29th, 2026, when @tvoffs posted "I don't have time for Candace Owens being a lesbian right now" to more than 1 million views and about 61,900 likes[7]. @rosinyangi followed with a crude line claiming Owens had "eaten more p---y than 90% of lesbian twitter," reaching over 137,110 views and 16,060 likes[8].
How to Use
Posters typically screenshot or quote @EsoShaggy's thread, then layer a punchline on top, often framed as a mock-serious "as a lesbian myself" testimonial, a parody Owens clip, or a crude line about her alleged dating history[4][5].
