All Women Are Queens is a 2017 Tumblr snowclone in which one person calls a woman a thot and a second person interrupts with the corrective line "All women are queens!" It started as a Star Wars edit on Facebook and grew alongside the wave of Respect Women memes.
Origin
On March 26th, 2017, the Facebook page Kit Fisto-core posted a three-panel edit of Anakin and Obi-wan running the "If she breathes" / "All women are queens!" back-and-forth[1]. The post pulled in more than 1,700 reactions and over 2,900 shares[3]. Three days later, on March 29th, Tumblr user antonnizhny reposted the same image to a very different audience[2].

Overview
All Women Are Queens is a snowclone that flips a sarcastic exchange about respecting women into a two-part joke template. The setup follows a strict pattern: one speaker delivers a variation of "If she breathes, she a thot," and a second person interrupts with the corrective line "All women are queens!"[1][4]. The joke plays on the gap between misogynist internet slang and the exaggerated white-knight energy of the wider Respect Women meme wave[3].
The original image macro used screencaps from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, casting Anakin Skywalker as the thot-caller and Obi-wan Kenobi as the queen-defender[1]. As the format moved onto Tumblr, users swapped in their own fandom pairings, and the exchange also worked fine as a text-only bit with no screencaps at all[3].
How It Spread
The antonnizhny repost picked up more than 110,000 notes on Tumblr, and that is where the joke stopped being a one-off Star Wars edit and started acting like a template[2]. Meme Documentation dated the shift to around June of 2017, once fandom blogs began plugging their own casts into the two-panel structure[3].
On June 4th, 2017, Tumblr user ezoterist applied the format to characters from Voltron: Legendary Defender, clearing over 3,200 notes[4]. A pennynotsowise version using Hemlock Grove characters pulled in more than 680 notes in the same window[3]. The bit also worked without any images: a text-only kaspbyers post reached over 1,700 notes, and itsthegoldenlover ran the joke on Dream Daddy for more than 640 notes[3].
How to Use
The template typically pairs two characters from the same franchise or show. The first speaker says some variation of "If she breathes, she a thot," and the second interrupts with "All women are queens!" as a mock-serious correction[3]. Text-only versions drop the screencaps entirely and just credit the two speakers as "normal people" versus "memers," a phrasing that also shows up in the Urban Dictionary entry[5].
