{"id":"the-jonkler","name":"The Jonkler","summary":"The Jonkler is an intentional misspelling of \"The Joker\" that originated on Reddit's r/BatmanArkham subreddit in April 2023. The meme pairs distorted images of the Joker from the Batman: Arkham video game series with deliberately broken English captions, most famously \"Why does the jonkler? Is he stupid?\" What started as a single shitpost spiraled into an entire meme ecosystem complete with fan-created lore, genderbent variants, and the viral Evil Jonkler Cart spinoff that blew up on TikTok in 2024.","tags":["The Jonkler","2024 meme","satire","dark humor","incel meme"],"howToUse":["**Pick your Joker image.** The classic choice is a screenshot from Batman: Arkham City or Arkham Knight. Distorted, low-quality, or AI-warped versions work even better.","**Write a broken question.** Start with \"Why does the Jonkler...\" and leave the sentence grammatically incomplete. The question should be vague or nonsensical.","**Add the punchline.** Follow up with \"Is he stupid?\" or a variation like \"Iz he stupid?\"","**Optional escalation.** Swap in different Joker interpretations (Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix, genderbent fan art) or mash up with other meme formats."],"imageCount":7,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-reddit-gravestone.webp","caption":"Reddit post about Jonkler meme with gravestone image and red circle","width":1200,"height":809,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-phone-call-interface.webp","caption":"The Jonkler","width":800,"height":450,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-reddit-character-post.webp","caption":"The Jonkler","width":716,"height":875,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-green-hair-illustration.webp","caption":"The Jonkler","width":716,"height":715,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-theatrical-pose.webp","caption":"The Jonkler","width":716,"height":545,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-reddit-arkham.webp","caption":"The Jonkler","width":716,"height":583,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/the-jonkler-expectation-reality.webp","caption":"The Jonkler","width":899,"height":1600,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/the-jonkler/history.md","related":["coconut-tree","marcus-the-worm","jellybean-memes","baby-gronk","eddy-burback","speed","smurf-cat","ice-spice","brain-rot-vocabulary","labubu"],"popularityRank":4447,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
