{"id":"smiley-sings","name":"Smiley Sings","summary":"Smiley Sings is an animated video format where a hand-drawn yellow smiley face lip-syncs to popular songs by stretching its mouth in time with the vocals. The trend started in 2006 on YouTube with an MS Paint rendition of Survivor's 'Eye of the Tiger' and helped popularize a whole style of mouth-manipulation music videos that later fed into edits like Trumpet Boy.","tags":["smiley sings","kentdoddsproductions","ms paint meme","singing smiley","youtube 2006","eye of the tiger meme","boulevard of broken dreams smiley"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":1,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/smiley-sings/smiley-sings-smiley-sings-ms-paint-screenshot.webp","caption":"A screenshot from the 'Smiley Sings' animation, featuring the iconic MS Paint yellow smiley with its wide-open singing mouth.","width":810,"height":456,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/smiley-sings/history.md","related":["keyboard-cat","fsjal","bongo-cat","chocolate-rain","get-the-cake","009-sound-system-background-songs","numa-numa","call-me-maybe","dame-da-ne-baka-mitai","face-dancing","miles-morales-trend","revive-app-singing-animals"],"popularityRank":2189,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
