{"id":"skull-trumpet-doot-doot","name":"Skull Trumpet","summary":"Skull Trumpet, also known as Doot Doot or Jazz Skull, is a two-second animated GIF of a bony hand holding a horn to a grinning skull, created by artist Cathy Jarboe in 1999 for her personal Halloween graphics site. The clip sat quietly online for over a decade before YouTube uploads in 2011 turned it into a Tumblr and Reddit favorite, spawning years of low-effort covers, remixes, and the onomatopoeia 'doot doot' that became shorthand for internet Halloween itself.","tags":["skull trumpet","doot doot","jazz skull","jazzskull.gif","cathy jarboe","halloween meme","ledootgeneration","piepuppy89"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":5,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/skull-trumpet-doot-doot/skull-trumpet-doot-doot-original-skull-trumpet-render.webp","caption":"The original 'Skull Trumpet' image, a low-resolution 3D render that became the visual centerpiece of the 'Doot Doot' meme.","width":1688,"height":950,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/skull-trumpet-doot-doot/skull-trumpet-doot-doot-just-doot-it-nike-parody.webp","caption":"A popular 'Just Doot It' Nike parody, one of many brand mashups spawned by the Skull Trumpet meme.","width":680,"height":513,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/skull-trumpet-doot-doot/skull-trumpet-doot-doot-doom-ii-doot-parody-cover.webp","caption":"A 'Doot II Doot' remake of the DOOM II cover art, playing on the shared 'doom/doot' pun.","width":680,"height":428,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/skull-trumpet-doot-doot/skull-trumpet-doot-doot-trumpet-skelton-chain-letter.webp","caption":"The 'Trumpet Skelton of the Abyss' chain-letter meme that fused the Skull Trumpet with the 'Thank Mr Skeltal' catchphrase.","width":499,"height":499,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/skull-trumpet-doot-doot/skull-trumpet-doot-doot-original-vs-remake-comparison.webp","caption":"A comparison showcasing the original low-resolution Skull Trumpet render alongside a modern high-fidelity 3D remake.","width":1115,"height":538,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/skull-trumpet-doot-doot/history.md","related":["spooky-scary-skeletons","2spooky","nyan-cat","skull","dancing-hamster","chipi-chipi-chapa-chapa-dubidubidu","skeleton-war","skeletons","sans","12-foot-tall-home-depot-skeleton","berserk-skeletons","da-share-z0ne"],"popularityRank":3125,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
