{"id":"obi-wan-kenobi","name":"Obi-Wan Kenobi","summary":"Obi-Wan Kenobi, also known as Ben Kenobi, is the Jedi master from the Star Wars films who inspired a dedicated Reddit meme community centered on Ewan McGregor's prequel trilogy performance. His quotable lines and reaction shots turned r/PrequelMemes into a fixture of Star Wars meme output, where moderators eventually wrote formal rules about how McGregor's face could appear in edits[2]. The June 2018 rule revision spawned a viral 'blackout' gag that pulled in confused outsiders from other subreddits[2].","tags":["obi-wan kenobi meme","ben kenobi","prequel memes","ewan mcgregor meme","r/PrequelMemes","star wars meme","hello there"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":4,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/obi-wan-kenobi/obi-wan-kenobi-obi-wan-kenobi-portrait.webp","caption":"Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, the Jedi Master whose lines and expressions have inspired a wide range of internet memes.","width":800,"height":450,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/obi-wan-kenobi/obi-wan-kenobi-chosen-one-teacher-student.webp","caption":"The 'You were the chosen one!' exchange from Revenge of the Sith repurposed as a teacher-student joke about a top student failing an exam.","width":474,"height":507,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/obi-wan-kenobi/obi-wan-kenobi-chip-broke-in-dip.webp","caption":"A snack-themed spin on Obi-Wan's 'You were the chosen one!' outburst, mourning a broken chip that failed at scooping dip.","width":400,"height":400,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/obi-wan-kenobi/obi-wan-kenobi-archives-incomplete-tex-code.webp","caption":"The 'Perhaps the archives are incomplete' Obi-Wan template applied to the frustration of not finding usable LaTeX examples on Stack Exchange.","width":680,"height":514,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/obi-wan-kenobi/history.md","related":["i-am-the-senate","i-have-the-high-ground","general-grievous","another-happy-landing","i-dont-like-sand","i-killed-them-all","anakin-padme-meme","visible-confusion","darth-mauls-double-sided-lightsaber","hello-there","i-love-democracy","is-it-possible-to-learn-this-power"],"popularityRank":1408,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
