{"id":"my-spoon-is-too-big","name":"My Spoon Is Too Big","summary":"\"My Spoon Is Too Big\" is a quote from Don Hertzfeldt's 2000 animated short film Rejected, delivered in a flat monotone that made a mundane breakfast complaint sound like a full-scale breakdown[3]. The audio clip broke out online in May 2004 when YTMND users started looping it under image montages[1], turning the line into one of the widely quoted animation memes of the mid-2000s YTMND scene.","tags":["my spoon is too big","rejected don hertzfeldt","ytmnd meme","rejected film quotes","i am a banana","animation memes","2000s memes"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":5,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/my-spoon-is-too-big/my-spoon-is-too-big-mlp-crossover-meme.webp","caption":"A crossover meme pairing the 'My Spoon Is Too Big' character with Applejack from My Little Pony.","width":833,"height":500,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/my-spoon-is-too-big/my-spoon-is-too-big-stick-figure-halloween-costume.webp","caption":"A fan cosplay of the 'My Spoon Is Too Big' stick figure, complete with an oversized homemade spoon.","width":500,"height":669,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/my-spoon-is-too-big/my-spoon-is-too-big-anime-memorial-banana-edit.webp","caption":"The banana character from the cartoon inserted into a somber anime memorial scene as a photoshopped joke.","width":720,"height":812,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/my-spoon-is-too-big/my-spoon-is-too-big-real-life-giant-spoon.webp","caption":"A real-life recreation of the meme, featuring a giant decorative spoon in a store.","width":480,"height":648,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/my-spoon-is-too-big/my-spoon-is-too-big-bionicle-spoon-recreation.webp","caption":"A fan-made recreation using a Bionicle toy figure to act out the meme's iconic line.","width":640,"height":480,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/my-spoon-is-too-big/history.md","related":["lets-go-mets","lex-luthor-took-forty-cakes","its-a-fake","boom-headshot","gonads-and-strife","harambe","ytmnd","safety-not-guaranteed","chad-warden-chadwardenn","extended-cut-ytmnds","gravity-cat","holy-shit-its-a-dinosaur"],"popularityRank":984,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
