{"id":"morbius-sweep","name":"Morbius Sweep","summary":"Morbius Sweep is a 2021 ironic-praise hashtag meme celebrating the 2022 film Morbius as cinema's greatest achievement through absurd fake review scores.","tags":["morbius-sweep","morbius","ironic-meme","2022","box-office","dead-meme"],"howToUse":["**Fake review scores:** Edit a Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb, or Metacritic screenshot to show an impossibly high score (over 100%, 11/10, etc.) for *Morbius*.","**Fake quotes:** Attribute absurdly reverent quotes about *Morbius* to respected filmmakers like Scorsese, Kubrick, or Spielberg. The more prestigious the director, the funnier the contrast.","**Fake box office numbers:** Claim the film sold some ridiculous number of tickets, often using invented units like \"morbillion.\" Urban Dictionary's entry captures this energy with its claim of \"69420 Morbillion Tickets\"[5].","**Straight-faced praise:** Write earnest-sounding paragraphs about the film's artistic merit, as if reviewing a genuine masterpiece. The key is total commitment to the bit with no winking."],"imageCount":8,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-canonical-wikipedia.webp","caption":"Most instantly recognizable meme representation.","width":1600,"height":900,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-wikipedia-box-office.webp","caption":"Most iconic recognizable version of the meme.","width":680,"height":433,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-you-vs-guy-batman.webp","caption":"Mocking Morbius performance versus The Batman.","width":638,"height":555,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-walter-white-desert.webp","caption":"Humorously celebrating ironic Morbius dominance.","width":680,"height":748,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-body-pillow-bedding.webp","caption":"Absurdist merchandising humor and fan irony.","width":513,"height":500,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-inflated-ratings.webp","caption":"Impossible percentages epitomizing false dominance satire.","width":680,"height":276,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-composite-hashtag.webp","caption":"Mocking poor reception while pretending commercial success.","width":828,"height":922,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/morbius-sweep-krabs-squidward-format.webp","caption":"Format celebrating ironic Morbius dominance.","width":680,"height":556,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/morbius-sweep/history.md","related":["drip","amber-heard-trial","bernie-sanders-mittens","patrick-bateman-meme","gentleminions","barbenheimer","cope-and-seethe","milk-crate-challenge","anakin-padme-meme","morb"],"popularityRank":3037,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
