{"id":"mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce","name":"Mcdonalds Mulan Szechuan Sauce","summary":"Mcdonalds Mulan Szechuan Sauce is a McNugget dipping sauce McDonald's first sold in 1998 to promote Disney's Mulan, then revived as a viral demand meme after Rick Sanchez ranted about wanting it in the Rick and Morty Season 3 premiere in April 2017. The fan campaign forced McDonald's to bring the sauce back twice, once as a chaotic one-day release in October 2017 and again nationwide in February 2018.","tags":["mcdonalds mulan szechuan sauce","rick and morty szechuan sauce","mulan dipping sauce","szechuan sauce meme","rick and morty mcdonalds","szechuan mcnugget sauce"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":4,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce-rick-morty-mcdonalds-scene.webp","caption":"The scene from Rick and Morty Season 3 that sparked the McDonald's Szechuan Sauce craze.","width":1920,"height":1085,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce-smittayy-szechuan-reaction-tweet.webp","caption":"A fan tweet using a Rick and Morty screencap to react to McDonald's not stocking Szechuan sauce.","width":579,"height":769,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce-szechuan-sauce-petition.webp","caption":"A fan-created online petition urging McDonald's to bring back the discontinued Szechuan sauce.","width":680,"height":591,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce-roiland-dimension-c1998m-sauce.webp","caption":"Justin Roiland's viral tweet unboxing the exclusive Dimension C-1998M Szechuan Sauce package sent by McDonald's.","width":680,"height":631,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/mcdonalds-mulan-szechuan-sauce/history.md","related":["movie-trailer-analysis","9-year-old-army","cleganebowl","avengers-endgame","booktok","bts","dune","ewokalypse","fan-art","muito-real","pizza","star-wars-the-clone-wars"],"popularityRank":3146,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
