{"id":"he-knew-what-he-signed-up-for","name":"\"He Knew What He Signed Up For\"","summary":"\"He Knew What He Signed Up For\" is a phrase Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson said President Donald Trump used during an October 17, 2017 condolence call to Myeshia Johnson, widow of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, who was killed in an ambush in Niger. Trump denied the wording, the soldier's mother backed Wilson's account, and the six words spread through Twitter and Reddit as shorthand for what critics called a callous White House phone call.","tags":["he knew what he signed up for","trump widow call","frederica wilson","la david johnson","niger ambush","trump meme 2017","condolence call controversy"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":5,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/he-knew-what-he-signed-up-for/he-knew-what-he-signed-up-for-trump-white-house-press-still.webp","caption":"Donald Trump speaking to reporters, the video still commonly used to represent his controversial condolence call to a fallen soldier's widow.","width":800,"height":450,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/he-knew-what-he-signed-up-for/he-knew-what-he-signed-up-for-myeshia-johnson-casket-airport.webp","caption":"Myeshia Johnson grieves over the casket of her husband, Sgt.
