{"id":"duck-face","name":"Duck Face","summary":"Duck Face is the mocking nickname for a selfie pose where the subject presses their lips forward into a pursed pout, closely tied to Myspace and Facebook self-portraits from the mid-2000s. The term was pinned down in Urban Dictionary entries from 2006 and by the early 2010s had inspired blogs, BuzzFeed listicles, and dedicated Facebook pages built around mocking the expression.","tags":["duck face","myspace face","duck face selfie","duck lips","myspace pose","duck face meaning"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":5,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/duck-face/duck-face-little-feat-down-on-the-farm.webp","caption":"The cover of Little Feat's 1979 album 'Down on the Farm,' often cited as an early pop-culture precursor to the duck-face pose.","width":400,"height":400,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/duck-face/duck-face-blonde-duck-face-selfie.webp","caption":"A classic example of the duck-face selfie popularized on MySpace and early social media platforms.","width":480,"height":640,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/duck-face/duck-face-brunette-peace-sign-selfie.webp","caption":"A typical MySpace-era duck-face selfie paired with the accompanying peace-sign gesture.","width":600,"height":799,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/duck-face/duck-face-downward-gaze-duck-face.webp","caption":"A subdued variation on the duck-face pose, showing the pursed lips paired with a demure downward gaze.","width":600,"height":450,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/duck-face/duck-face-extreme-lip-filler-duo.webp","caption":"An extreme cosmetic-enhancement version of the duck-face look, often circulated as a warning against overzealous lip fillers.","width":600,"height":419,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/duck-face/history.md","related":["selfie","auschwitz-selfie","butt-selfie-belfie","i-woke-up-like-this","myspace-angles","feeling-cute-might-delete-later","nelson-mandelas-death","u-sure-kid","selfie-olympics","mark-zuckerbergs-metaverse-avatar"],"popularityRank":2850,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
