{"id":"crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons","name":"Crayon Eater Marines Eat Crayons","summary":"Crayon Eater Marines Eat Crayons is a running military joke claiming that US Marines are dumb enough to snack on crayons, born from inter-service rivalry inside the American armed forces. The gag surfaced on Imgur and Facebook in the mid-2010s and got so big that Marines embraced it themselves, spawning edible crayon merchandise and an official 2018 National Crayon Day video from the Marine Corps.","tags":["marines eat crayons","crayon eater","usmc meme","marine corps humor","jarhead","edible crayons","marines and crayons","marine crayon joke"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":7,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-marine-wojak-crayons-comic.webp","caption":"Wojak-style comic mocking Marines' stereotyped intellect by depicting them eating crayons and glue in place of MRE food.","width":680,"height":770,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-marine-dfac-crayons-snapchat.webp","caption":"A Snapchat-style photo joking about a Marine dining hall serving crayons alongside utensils.","width":680,"height":786,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-new-crayon-flavor-marines-meme.webp","caption":"Marines celebrate a new Crayola crayon color as a new flavor to eat.","width":680,"height":917,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-destiny-titan-crayons-tweet.webp","caption":"A KackisHD tweet extending the Marines-eat-crayons joke to Destiny 2 Titan mains.","width":680,"height":590,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-titan-crayon-eater-tweet.webp","caption":"A tweet meme mocking Destiny 2 Titans as crayon eaters who mostly just punch enemies.","width":680,"height":699,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-titan-crayon-joke-apology.webp","caption":"The Bad Destiny Joke author's public apology explaining the Marines-Titans crayon-eating joke's origin.","width":680,"height":801,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons-worlds-largest-crayon-marines.webp","caption":"A meme reaction depicting Marines' emotional excitement at the sight of the world's largest crayon.","width":680,"height":681,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/crayon-eater-marines-eat-crayons/history.md","related":["hon-hon-hon","speak-to-the-manager-haircut","canada","country-feels","emily-blm-acab-is-typing","hipster","niggas-be-like","septum-theory","smoke-detector-beeping","baseball-stat-nerd","saudis","white-people-dancing-lol-white-people"],"popularityRank":1904,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
