{"id":"a-mimir-two-mimir","name":"A Mimir Two Mimir","summary":"A Mimir Two Mimir is a sleepy internet meme built from the Spanish baby-talk phrase 'a mimir' (a mispronunciation of 'a dormir,' meaning 'to sleep') and a June 2020 Twitter exchange in which artist ᴰʳ.ᴍᴏʀɪᴄᴋʏ mistook 'mimir' for the name of a tiny sleeping creature. The format pairs the phrase with drawings, photos, or clips of pets, babies, and characters curled up in bed.","tags":["a mimir two mimir","a mimir meme","two mimir","sleeping meme","spanish babytalk meme","mmoriqomm","dr moricky","twitter meme 2020"],"howToUse":[],"imageCount":9,"nsfw":false,"images":[{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-a-mimir-two-mimir-cover.webp","caption":"The composite icon combining the original 'A mimir' chihuahua photo with the 'Two mimir' illustration by @mmoriqomm, representing the meme's two most iconic images.","width":1304,"height":680,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-original-a-mimir-chihuahua.webp","caption":"The original 'A mimir' image — a chihuahua nestled under blankets — which sparked the Spanglish baby-talk sleeping meme.","width":640,"height":565,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-moricky-black-cat-illustration.webp","caption":"Dr. Moricky's original 'A mimir' fan illustration of a smiling black cat in bed, which helped popularize the meme on Twitter.","width":640,"height":672,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-twitter-a-mimir-origin-post.webp","caption":"The viral Twitter exchange where user Brujita Verde captioned Dr. Moricky's black cat illustration 'A mimir,' launching the meme.","width":680,"height":855,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-mimir-meaning-explanation-tweet.webp","caption":"The Twitter reply thread in which the origin of 'a mimir' as Spanish baby-talk for 'to sleep' is explained to the artist.","width":680,"height":943,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-two-mimir-bear-cat-illustration.webp","caption":"Dr. Moricky's follow-up 'Two mimir' illustration depicting a bear and cat plushie sleeping side by side, expanding the meme.","width":593,"height":755,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-two-mimir-original-tweet.webp","caption":"Dr. Moricky's 'two mimir' tweet featuring the bear-and-cat illustration, which cemented the 'two mimir' variant of the meme.","width":680,"height":848,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-moomir-fanart-tweet.webp","caption":"A fan-art variation titled 'a moomir' by @lichenFriend, inspired by Dr. Moricky's original 'a mimir' illustration.","width":598,"height":743,"nsfw":false},{"url":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/a-mimir-two-mimir-two-mimir-puppies-tweet.webp","caption":"A real-life 'Two mimir' example — a viral tweet of two puppies sleeping upside-down together, riffing on the meme.","width":598,"height":726,"nsfw":false}],"historyUrl":"https://fcdtoybbbn2ccxbp.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/images/a-mimir-two-mimir/history.md","related":["yeet","bruh","pookie","no-cap-and-cap","based","cheugy","down-bad","netflix-and-chill","gyatt","gm","rekt","its-giving"],"popularityRank":4326,"license":"Meme images and history: templates, screenshots, photos and fan edits, many of copyrighted material or real people.
